Her European house debut came at Teatro La Fenice, and she has sung leading roles for English Touring Opera including Giulietta in Bellini’s I Capuletti e i Montecchi and the title role in Monteverdi’s The Coronation of Poppea.
On the concert platform, Jessica has performed under conductors including Masaaki Suzuki, Sir John Eliot Gardiner, Paul McCreesh, Harry Christophers, Jonathan Cohen, and Christian Curnyn. Highlights include Bach’s Mass in B Minor at KKL Luzern with the Gabrieli Consort, a European tour of Bach’s Christmas Oratorio with Masaaki Suzuki and the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, Handel’s Messiah at the Royal Albert Hall, and Mendelssohn’s Elijah at the Berlin Philharmoniker. She has also appeared at Wigmore Hall, Cadogan Hall, and the Bilbao Musika Música Festival. Jessica has recorded Bach’s St John Passion as soprano soloist alongside Gerald Finley and Mark Padmore with the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment.
An Associate Artist of The Mozartists and a Samling Artist, Jessica is also a committed recitalist who works regularly with pianist Ella O’Neill and has appeared at the Oxford International Song Festival.
Jessica studied at Cardiff University and holds an Artist Diploma in Opera and a Master of Performance with distinction from the Royal College of Music International Opera Studio, where she was the Robert Lancaster Scholar.
Very proud of her Welsh heritage, Jessica competed in the final of the Welsh Singer’s Showcase and won second prize at the Llangollen International Eisteddfod Pendine Voice of the Future competition. Outside of music, she takes every opportunity to return to her home county of Pembrokeshire for beach walks and sea swimming — any time of year.
