Partnerships

The English Concert performs at Carnegie Hall, Wigmore Hall, Garsington, the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées and concert halls from Madrid to Incheon. We record, we tour, and we put complete cycles of Handel onto the open internet. Sustaining work at that scale is a deliberate act of patronage by individual donors, and by the companies and grant-making trusts who choose to support it.

Corporate partnerships

We are always happy to talk to businesses who wish to get closer to the music and who share our values of excellence and collaboration. We can offer exclusive, bespoke sponsorship opportunities linked to our London concerts and recordings.

Companies partner with The English Concert when they want their name attached to outstanding artistic work. We design each partnership around the partner’s interests: brand visibility at a flagship London concert, hospitality around a performance, an association with a major recording, or a multi-year relationship that runs across a tour and our flagship film project, Handel for All.

We work with a small number of partners closely rather than a long list at arm’s length. That is a deliberate choice, and it is what makes the partnerships meaningful on both sides.

What’s on offer

  • Concert sponsorship: title sponsorship of a single concert at Wigmore Hall, St Martin in the Fields, the Barbican or on tour. Programme credit, audience reach, hospitality rights, brand presence on print and digital.
  • Tour sponsorship: association with a multi-city UK, European or US tour. Recognised in every city the tour visits; suitable for partners with a multi-territory presence.
  • Recording sponsorship: support a studio or live recording released internationally on a major classical label. The recording carries the partnership into the catalogue, the streaming platforms and the press cycle in perpetuity.
  • Chair sponsorship: name a principal chair in the orchestra (Principal Cello, Lead Violin, Principal Oboe and others). A recognisable proposition in the period-instrument tradition; the partnership is named in print and on the website for the duration.
  • Hospitality: corporate entertainment around a concert or recording session, in central London and on tour. Suitable for client cultivation and senior staff recognition.

Our audiences are international, our concerts are reviewed by mainstream press, and our recordings travel further and last longer than most commercial campaigns. Sponsorship of an organisation with this profile is a more rewarding form of brand presence than most of the alternatives a marketing budget will consider.

Get in touch

We design each partnership case-by-case. The first step is a meeting with our development team to discuss the brief and the budget, and we will come back with a proposition.

Trusts and foundations

Trusts and foundations play a vital supporting role in our work, making concerts, tours and recordings possible, enabling us to attract and retain musicians of the highest calibre and helping keep Handel for All films completely free to watch, for everyone, forever.

We welcome enquiries from organisations interested supporting our work, and our most recent impact report can be viewed here.

Case for support

We are a period-instrument orchestra of fifty years’ standing, with an international performance profile, a substantial recording catalogue, a flagship digital programme putting Handel’s complete works onto the open internet, and a sustained commitment to young artist development.

We fundraise with specific outputs in mind, including concerts, tours, recordings, films, and emerging-artist debuts, and always report back. Trusts that fund us are funding work that reaches the globe, is documented, and lasts.
