When, where and what did you play the first time with the English Concert?
I think I first played with TEC in the late 1990’s and can’t recall what we played in my first concert.
What has been your most memorable TEC concert and why?
There have been many “most memorable’s”.
I particularly remember recording As Steals the Morn with Mark Padmore and Andrew Manze, partly because it is a superb recording, and partly because I shouldn’t have been there. I stepped up because Katherine McGilivray died suddenly.
What’s one of your favourite pieces of music and why?
Magnificat. JSBach
It fills me with hope.
Do you have a secret interest or hobby that would surprise people?
Gardening. Not secret.
