Trevor Pinnock’s 80th Birthday in Dublin

A substantial book waits to be written about Trevor Pinnock’s part in the so-called Early Music Revival, a movement that saw the decisive shift in the art of historically informed performance into the mainstream of concert life. At Dublin’s Whyte Hall, we celebrate his 80th birthday. The trumpets and drums of JS Bach’s Third Orchestral Suite supply the final festive flourish to an evening of musical and personal delights given to honour of one of Britain’s finest musicians.
